TMF, Formerly of MAZE, Signs Exclusive Worldwide Licensing Agreement with the Estate of Frankie Beverly to Carry On the Iconic Legacy

It's truly "Happy Feelings" for TMF, which has officially signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with the Estate of Frankie Beverly. This historic agreement grants TMF the right to use the MAZE name, perform its classic catalog, and continue the legacy of one of the most beloved bands in soul and R&B history.

TMF is the authentic evolution of the legendary MAZE sound — a sound cherished by fans worldwide. The group is composed of long-time MAZE members, including the only remaining original member, Roame Lowry (percussionist/vocalist, 55 years), as well as Larry "Bear" Kimpel (bass, 20 years), Vance Taylor (piano/keyboards, 20 years), Calvin Napper (drums, 13 years), and Daniel Weatherspoon (keyboards/organ, 3 years). Joining them is Joey Woolfalk, veteran guitarist/vocalist, and Chris Walker, internationally acclaimed solo artist, now serving as TMF's lead vocalist — a role personally encouraged by Frankie Beverly himself in recognition of Walker's distinctive vocal talent.

TMF has thrilled audiences across the U.S. and Europe with sold-out shows, including standout performances at Indigo at The O2 in London and the Margate Soul Weekender. Their live shows continue to deliver the timeless grooves and soulful energy that fans have come to expect from the MAZE legacy.

Beyond honoring the past, TMF is also forging a bold new path with original music. Their debut album, "TMF: The Music Forever, Vol. 1", features nine original tracks written and produced by the band. Their breakout single, "Making Love to the Music," earned them the 2024 Indie Soul Award for Group/Duo of the Year, solidifying their place as both torchbearers and innovators in the genre.
