Terence Fixmer has released a new EP titled Magnetic North, accompanied by an extended edition of his second album THE PARADOX IN ME, out now via Mute / NovaMute. The EP includes the title track “Magnetic North” — introduced with a new video — along with remixes by Marcel Dettmann (“Evolve”) and Oliver Rosemann (“Another End”).
Fixmer describes “Magnetic North” as a sonic bridge between THE PARADOX IN ME and his forthcoming, more techno-oriented album. The extended edition of THE PARADOX IN ME features three new tracks:
“In Synthesis (Vocal Mix)”
“Razor Sharp (Version Two)”
“Close to You (Live Version)”
The Paradox in Me showcases Fixmer's duality as an artist, blending cinematic electronics with peak-time techno. Known for pioneering the fusion of EBM and techno since the late ’90s, Fixmer has worked with notable acts like Douglas McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb), Depeche Mode, and Front 242, while releasing on top techno labels like CLR, Ostgut-Ton, and Electric Deluxe.
The new releases reflect his evolving sound, balancing personal storytelling with club-ready intensity.
Track Highlights:
