RISING AMERICANA DARLINGS THE WILDWOODS CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH 5-SONG EP, CHRISTMAS THROUGHT THE YEARS

With warm harmonies and nostalgic instrumentation, The Wildwoods bring the spirit of the season to life with their new holiday EP, Christmas Through the Years, available on Nov. 29.  This collection blends beloved holiday classics with an original tune, all reimagined through The Wildwoods’ signature folk style.

Christmas Through the Years began one evening at The Goosenest, the band’s home studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. Surrounded by instruments and the glow of string lights, the band members reminisced about Christmases past, recalling family traditions and the warmth of holiday gatherings. They set out to create an EP that captures these cozy, homespun memories for listeners everywhere. The EP features the original song “Somewhere in the Snow,” released as a single in 2023, which reflects on the quiet beauty of winter and the memories it stirs.

Alongside this tune, the band brings their folk inspired touch to Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time is Here,” Irving Berlin’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” Fleet Foxes’ “White Winter Hymnal,” and a fresh rendition of “White Christmas” inspired by The Drifters’ soulful version. Together, these tracks create an inviting, fireside atmosphere that draws listeners into the timeless warmth of the season. Musically, Christmas Through the Years combines intricate folk arrangements and lush harmonies that allow each song to shine with an intimate, acoustic feel.

For The Wildwoods, Christmas has always been about slowing down, savoring the moment, and finding joy in simple togetherness. With this EP, they aim to bring that spirit of the season to everyone who listens.
