Muzilog Rising Heat 30: Sammy Cokas Holds No. 1 as New Music Reshapes the Chart | Reporting Period: August 2026

Reporting Period: August 6–28, 2026
The latest edition of the Muzilog Rising Heat 30 brings a noticeable shift in momentum across Muzilog Muzik Radio, with familiar chart names joined by a strong influx of new music. Covering airplay from August 6–28, the latest rankings capture the songs generating some of the strongest rotation across the station’s Tuesday-through-Friday programming.
At the top, Sammy Cokas remains firmly in control with “Lipstick On My Shirt,” holding the No. 1 position for another reporting period. While much of the chart beneath him has changed, the record continues to show staying power at the station.
One of the strongest stories this period belongs to Ny’a, whose “More” climbs four positions from No. 6 to No. 2. Bonita Jalane’s “So High” also continues its upward trajectory, moving from No. 4 to No. 3. There is also significant movement from Dee Lucas, as “Never Go Away” jumps nine positions from No. 13 to No. 4, placing the record firmly among this period’s biggest movers.
A new entry makes an immediate impact in the Top 5, with Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science’s “Identity Song” entering the chart at No. 5.
Garry Percell and Avohee Avoher Deliver the Biggest Gains
Two records share the honor of the largest upward movement of the reporting period.
Garry Percell’s “Love Ballad” surges from No. 22 to No. 7, gaining 15 positions. Meanwhile, Avohee Avoher x Luv Foundation’s “Malami” moves from No. 29 to No. 14, also climbing 15 spots. Elsewhere, 704 x Anthony Hamilton’s “Slide” remains inside the Top 10 at No. 6, while Trizzyy T’s “THERAPY SESSION” lands at No. 8 and SHVŃ’s “LIVE WITHOUT” takes No. 9.
Another new entry, Ali Caldwell’s “Another Lifetime,” rounds out the Top 10.
New Music Makes Its Presence Felt
This reporting period also brings considerable new activity to the Rising Heat 30.
Beyond Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science and Ali Caldwell, new entries include Keith D. Robinson’s “Different Language,” Castella’s “I’m In You,” Boss Pee’s “If The Boot Fits,” Chrisette Michele’s “Flower Mamma,” Kenneth Goodrich featuring Westside Boogie’s “WHAT I WANT,” Heidi Tann featuring Tony Exum Jr.’s “Coffee On Your Sleeves,” TN da Entertainer’s “Make Me Feel,” Phaedra Butler featuring Krayzie Bone’s “Feelings,” Keith Eatmon’s “I Thought About Love,” and Kirk Whalum’s “Epic Cool.”
The number of new entries gives this edition a distinctly different look, with several recent additions finding their way into the rankings while returning songs continue to shift throughout the Top 30.
Mimi Continues to Build Momentum
Mimi x Sneakbo’s “Take Me On A Jet” continues its steady movement, advancing from No. 26 to No. 24. The record registered 24 spins during the reporting period as it continues to build its presence on the station. Elsewhere, Lyriqé’s “Alright,” which appeared at No. 24 on the previous chart, sits just outside the Top 30 this period. As rotation shifts and new releases enter programming, the latest rankings bring a mix of upward movement, new entries and songs moving just beyond the chart.
