MOM+POP MUSIC SIGNS SYNTHPOP DUO MAGDALENA BAY

Mom+Pop Music today announces the signing of acclaimed synthpop duo Magdalena Bay. Pitchfork said about the duo: “...Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin’s fuzzy, rococo synthpop confections have a magic power: They sound like whatever you grew up with, whenever that was.”

Magdalena Bay have become known for their creative live performances catching the eye of artists that they have long been inspired by including: Charli XCX, Flume, and Porter Robinson, all of whom they have done opening slots for.

Founder and co-owner of Mom+Pop, Michael Goldstone says, “At M+P we’re always striving to work with uniquely gifted talented artists…Magdalena Bay touches all of that. Their art, music and live performance grabbed us from minute one. Now 18 months later we're thrilled and fortunate to have become their recorded music partner. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Receiving high praise from influential media outlets including The Fader, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and more, Magdalena Bay are enjoying a breakthrough year finishing their first headlining US tour, performing at Coachella and preparing for another first playing Lollapalooza later this summer.

They recently released Mini Mix Vol. 3, and accompanying trippy, glitchy 90s VHS-esque video and are looking forward to the next steps with Mom+Pop.

Magdalena Bay adds “We're so excited for what the future holds! The next stage, the next phase is here.”

More information about upcoming music releases and touring will be announced later this year.
