FRANCES FOREVER ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF THEIR DEBUT ALBUM LOCKJAW OUT JUNE 28, 2024

Frances Forever, best known as the brainchild behind the viral TikTok hit “Space Girl” announces the release of their upcoming LP, Lockjaw out on June 28, 2024 alongside today's release of their new single/video, “Troll,” out via Mom+Pop.

The 11-track LP, is Frances’ first full-length release, marking the next step in their career. Lockjaw contains all original songs and includes features with Miya Folick and dacelynn.

“I’m so excited to announce my debut album, Lockjaw. This project contains my favorite songs I’ve ever written, and I’ve never put so much of my heart into something. It feels like my baby, and I’ve spent the past two years perfecting it,” Frances continues, “It’s a dream come true to share this with you. Lockjaw era baby!!!”

The new single, “Troll,” co-written and produced by David Pramik (Selena Gomez, Bebe Rexha) is a punk inspired bop in which Frances address their post-covid social anxiety. It inspires the listener from the first note, starting with a happy and catchy bass line, continuing with a bright melody juxtaposed with lyrics that paint a picture of a person avoiding contact and suffering from social anxiety.

“‘Troll’ is an anthem for the socially anxious that I initially wrote as a joke after blowing off going to a friend’s party, because sometimes I want to hermit inside forever and become a little monster no one wants to talk to.” says Frances, “It feels so good to cancel plans, to make friends with the snails and never wear pants. I created a little world I want to live in when I don’t feel like a person.”

The video, directed by Steph Rinzler, takes the idea of their imaginary world by showcasing a group of brightly costumed, campy trolls and snails living under a bridge, inviting viewers to hang out with them.
