LENII Releases Delicious Track "Cereal" From Forthcoming EP

LENII RELEASES DELICIOUS NEW SINGLE "CEREAL" FROM FORTHCOMING EP IN ALL FAIRNESS…

Known for her signature blend of piercing honesty and dark humor, Irish-born singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Lenii, is back with a delicious new track, “Cereal.” “Cereal,” which is out everywhere today, is the latest single from Lenii’s forthcoming EP, In All Fairness. Produced by Nick Sadler, “Cereal” is – as Lenii describes it – a “standing-up-for-myself song.” “I had recently broken up with my boyfriend of over two years, and it was the worst thing Iʼve ever experienced.” Almost immediately, at a time when I was at my most vulnerable, a close friend swooped in thinking I was up for grabs (I know this sounds like such teenage drama). I was so angry that my own feelings were totally disregarded and I was made to feel like an object that could be passed around. I know most girls can probably relate to this in some way.” Influenced by artists like Amy Winehouse, the Cranberries, Leonard Cohen and Eminem, Lenii is already primed for an unforgettable 2020. “Cereal” follows her February release “Regular 10,” a single that is the best example of the EP’s theme. The track is about pretending you’re doing great when you’re actually hiding all the parts of your life you’re not proud of. Her EP, In All Fairness drops later this year. As a whole, In All Fairness... represents the idea of keeping face. “In All Fairness is a uniquely Irish phrase that can mean different things depending on the tone it's said in. It’s like an Irish way of saying 'come on' while rolling your eyes..." says Lenii. Currently, Lenii is featured on Zack Martino’s “Crave U,” which had been in the works for several years until Martino saw the record take shape during his live masterclass for Armada University. The track has garnered considerable buzz and has reached over one million streams on Spotify. On “Crave U,” Run The Trap declares, “Lenii’s absolutely haunting vocal draws you in while the crisp production lends itself to be played anywhere from dance floors to living room pre-game,” while Earmilk raves that it is “an angsty club-worthy dance track.” Raised in Cork, Ireland, Lenii’s musical life began when she took up classical violin at just 4 years old. By the time she was 7, she’d learn to play both piano and guitar. Two years later, she wrote her first song in her Grandmother’s house. At 15, Lenii left home and moved to NYC to learn music production and DJing - subsequently spending years in the electronic music scene and featuring as a singer and producer on multiple dance records. Now based in Brooklyn, Lenii has found a home in the New York songwriting community. Over the past few years, she has written and produced for many developing and established acts. She also placed second in the International Songwriting Competition.
