He has influenced many of today’s up and coming artists along the way with his signature style and silky smooth delivery. Affectionately known as “The Saxman”, Courtney continues to redefine his undeniable sound and texture.
Inspired by his father, Jethro Fadlin Sr., an acclaimed musician in his own right, Courtney watched his father at various performances while growing up. It wasn’t long after that that his tutelage began. Courtney also credits Grover Washington Jr. as one of his major influences. This influence led him to Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Professional Music. He went on to the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, where he pursued his Masters in Saxophone Performance. He has also mastered the clarinet and flute.
Courtney has shared stage with the industry greats such as Ben Tankard, Hubert Powell, Melba Moore, Take Six, Freddie McGregor, Jamaican Reggae Band, Culture, and Legendary jazz drummer, Louie Bellson.
