The Saint Johns' debut album "Dead Of Night" premieres at Baeble Music, out March 4

March 1, 2016

The Saint Johns’ debut album, Dead Of Night, is now streaming in full exclusively at Baeble Music. Of the music, Baeble asserts, “… a sonic injection of Southern roots music right to the veins. From tracks like album opener ‘Shadowplay’ to ‘Falling Back to You’ and ‘Lost the Feeling,’ Dead of Night pairs soaring vocal melodies with warm guitars.”

In celebration of the album, which is out this Friday, March 4 (pre-order), the acclaimed duo will set out on an extensive U.S tour in March with Judah & The Lion, including dates in Chicago, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and more. See below for a complete list of tour dates.

Already receiving acclaim, Nashville Lifestyles praises the duo’s “gorgeous harmonies and stirring melodies,” while Speakers in Code calls the album’s title track “terrific” and adds it, “only makes us wish the album would arrive a little sooner.” Additionally, Paste Magazinepraises the band’s, “stunning male/female harmonies,” (watch their live acoustic performance in The Paste Studio here), while Music Remedy declares, “…it’s really the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in a while.” Moreover, of the album track “Shadowplay,” XPN asserts, “…captures everything we love about the band: their confident and warm harmonies and the energy of their songs that swell with emotion.” The official music video for lead single, “Lost The Feeling,” can now be watched here.

The 12-track album was written by duo partners Louis Johnson and Jordan Meredith and was recorded at New York’s Avatar Studios with Grammy Award-winning producer, David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Strokes, Regina Spektor). Of the album, Johnson comments, “Dead of Night is a chronicle of the past three years. It carries the weight of our lowest lows and the breadth of our greatest successes.” Meredith adds, “We were lucky enough to work with a lot of our friends and mentors on this record. We really are so proud of what we created.”

Since debuting with their Open Water EP in 2013, The Saint Johns (aka Louis Johnson and Jordan Meredith) have enjoyed widespread notice, including a booking on the “Late Show with David Letterman” as well as critical praise from WXPN—who selected them as a “World Café Next” artist on the rise—American Songwriter and USA Today, among many others. Additionally, their music has been featured on The CW’s Reign, ABC’s “Blood & Oil,” FX’s “Sons of Anarchy,” ABC’s “Nashville” and Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”
